Zadora Vineyard

The vineyard is located in Szczepanowice, on a slope with a 10% slope, facing south, at an altitude of 280 m above sea level. Siedlisko is the westernmost tip of the Sandomierz Basin. From the north, the vineyard is naturally sheltered by the embankment towering over the slope, while from the east and west it is surrounded by old, natural orchards full of apple, plum and cherry trees. The microclimate of the vineyard is also influenced by the heat flowing from Tarnów – the city known as the Polish heat pole. The soil here is dusty-clay-rocky. The stone is a red sandstone from Opatówice with inclusions of iron and copper oxides, which has a very positive effect on red wines. Soil acidity 6.88 ph.
The day before there was the Chrząstowski vineyard, Zadora coat of arms – hence the present name of the vineyard. The Chrząstowski family owned Szczepanowice until the middle of the 19th century. Zadora has been member of the Małopolska Culinary Heritage Network since 2015.
